Virtual Interior Design
Virtual Interior Design is a fully remote interior design service for single rooms where bespoke joinery or made-to-measure elements are not required. It is ideal for clients who do not require their whole house designed but would like professional direction for one or more rooms, delivered within a clearly defined scope.
Whether you are based in the UK or Europe, you receive a cohesive scheme tailored to your lifestyle and aesthetic, with clear documentation that allows you to implement the design with confidence.
The Process
01. Brief & Room Information
Your project begins by understanding how your space should function for the people living in it and how you want it to feel. You’ll complete a detailed questionnaire and share photographs, room dimensions and inspiration images so we can fully understand your priorities, desired aesthetic and the existing space.
02. Video Consultation with ANNÉ
We meet via video call to discuss your brief in more detail, confirm practical requirements and budget, and ensure we are aligned before design development begins, with a clear shared understanding of the next steps.
03. Furniture layout
We create a clear furniture layout plan to bring spatial clarity to the room and ensure it works comfortably for the way you live, with balanced proportions and ease of movement.
04. Moodboard & DESIGN DIRECTION
We develop a tailored concept moodboard to establish the overall design direction, colour palette, materiality and atmosphere of the space, alongside the proposed furniture layout. We then present the scheme via video call, with one round of revisions included to ensure the design direction feels right before we move into detailed specification.
05. SPECIFICATION & SHOPPING LIST
Next, we develop a detailed, linkable shopping list aligned with your budget, with alternative options where helpful. We specify natural materials, carefully chosen furniture, lighting and finishes, combining Scandinavian warmth and simplicity with contemporary colour, texture and character.
06. Final Design Package & Support
Once finalised, your complete digital design package is issued for implementation. Two weeks of email support are included should you need clarification as you bring the scheme to life.
About this Service
This service is intended for decorative interior design and does not include bespoke joinery, structural changes or technical design work.
It can, however, include furniture, lighting, paint colours, wall finishes, rugs, artwork, accessories and guidance on style, colour and fabric direction for window treatments.
Due to their technical nature, kitchens and bathrooms are not included in the Virtual Interior Design service and are delivered as part of our Complete Interior Design service.
Let's Begin
Our Virtual Interior Design service is typically £695 per room. Most projects are delivered within 2–3 weeks of receiving your completed brief, subject to studio availability.
Because the service is delivered remotely and within a clearly defined scope, it offers a more accessible way to work with Studio Tiainen. If you would prefer a more personal service with a home consultation, and you live in London or Western Home Counties, our Single Room Refresh may be more suitable.
